Scotland names team changes for Ireland clash
Rory Sutherland will start for Scotland at loosehead in their Six Nations match against Ireland, marking his first appearance in the tournament since 2022. The 32-year-old Glasgow forward, who has 38 caps, replaces Pierre Schoeman, who is now on the bench. Tom Jordan and Jack Dempsey are also included in the starting lineup, with Dempsey taking over at number eight. The Scots are looking to end a 10-game losing streak against Ireland, dating back to February 2017. The bench will feature a 6-2 split, emphasizing Scotland's tactical approach as they prepare for the clash at Murrayfield on February 9, 2025. Head coach Gregor Townsend has made three changes to the side that won against Italy last weekend.
