Starting in 2026, the Big 12 Baseball Championship will move from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, to Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona, marking a significant westward shift in the conference's geographic footprint. Surprise Stadium, home to MLB spring training for the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, seats over 10,700 and offers a more intimate, traditional spring training atmosphere compared to the larger, climate-controlled Globe Life Field. This move aligns with the Big 12's expansion and integration of four new western schools, including Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, and Utah, reflecting a strategic effort to establish a stronger presence in the western region. The tournament will continue to be managed in partnership with REV Entertainment, the Rangers' event management arm, which has praised the venue's world-class facilities and the opportunity to create a new tradition in Arizona.
