The Waterboys Announce New Album Release

The Waterboys have announced their upcoming album 'Life, Death And Dennis Hopper', set for release on April 4 via Sun Records. This ambitious 25-track double LP chronicles the life of actor Dennis Hopper, showcasing his influence on Western pop culture over the last 75 years. Frontman Mike Scott highlights Hopper's pivotal role in youth culture and the counter-culture movements of the '60s, noting that the album explores not just Hopper's life but the broader human experience. The first single, 'Hopper's On Top (Genius)', will debut on January 10, celebrating Hopper's iconic film 'Easy Rider'. The album features collaborations with notable artists like Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, and Steve Earle. Additionally, The Waterboys will embark on a UK and Ireland tour this summer, starting in May.
