The Office Spinoff The Paper Releases First Trailer

Peacock has released the trailer for 'The Paper,' a spinoff of the popular series 'The Office,' set to premiere on September 4. The mockumentary-style show follows the same documentary crew as 'The Office,' this time focusing on a struggling Midwestern newspaper, the Toledo Truth Teller, and its efforts to revive itself under new leadership. Domhnall Gleeson stars as Ned Sampson, the editor-in-chief trying to raise the paper's standards, while Oscar Nuñez reprises his role as Oscar Martinez, who has transitioned from paper sales to print media but remains reluctant about the renewed documentary filming. The series features a diverse cast including Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key, with guest appearances from several actors. Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, the show also boasts executive producers Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, maintaining a strong link to 'The Office' creative team. The series will release two episodes weekly until September 25.
