Chelsea faces striker crisis as Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu sidelined

Striker Nicolas Jackson is set to be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to a hamstring injury, while fellow forward Marc Guiu will also miss several weeks. On a positive note, defender Wesley Fofana has returned to training and is expected to be back in two to three weeks, which is a significant boost for the squad facing a shortage in defense. Additionally, midfielders Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile are also recovering but will likely miss the upcoming matches. Maresca remains hopeful that Jackson and Guiu will be available after the March international break. The manager confirmed that captain Reece James is fit to play against Brighton, while Filip Jorgensen has been named Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper for the foreseeable future.
