Colorado Hires Domata Peko as Defensive Line Coach

Colorado's head football coach, Deion Sanders, has added former NFL nose tackle Domata Peko as the Buffaloes' new defensive line coach, replacing Damione Lewis, who returned to Miami. Peko, who brings 15 years of NFL experience and connections to key coaching figures like Mike Zimmer and Robert Livingston, will contribute to a staff rich with professional experience, including Hall of Famers Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk. Peko played primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals and had late-career stints with the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, and Arizona Cardinals. He spent the 2024 season as a defensive line assistant with the Dallas Cowboys. Under Sanders, Colorado achieved a 9-4 record in 2024, and with Peko's addition, the team is poised to further strengthen its defensive line. The Buffaloes are set to start their 2025 season against Georgia Tech on August 30.
