Bezos and Sánchez Donate $110.5M to Fight Homelessness

Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez have donated a total of $110.5 million through the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund to 40 organizations across the United States to combat family homelessness. Significant grants were awarded to organizations in Indianapolis, Louisville, and Miami-Dade County, with HealthNet Inc. in Indianapolis receiving $2.5 million to enhance services, including a 'no wrong door' approach for housing solutions. The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust received $5 million, its largest donation to date, to address rising homelessness and the housing affordability crisis. The Coalition for the Homeless in Louisville also received $5 million, marking the nonprofit's largest private gift, to improve housing stability and services over the next five years. These efforts are part of Bezos' ongoing commitment to addressing homelessness, with grants awarded across all 50 states since 2018.
