Temporary traffic lights have been installed on the A53 Leek Road after a car and caravan fire on April 12 caused significant damage to the road surface. The fire, which occurred at the junction of Clay Lake in Endon, resulted in the complete destruction of both vehicles, but fortunately, all occupants were accounted for with no injuries reported. Meanwhile, in Kesgrave, Suffolk, similar temporary traffic lights have led to long delays on Main Road due to damage from a water valve cover. Traffic is congested in both directions, affecting the main route through the town as work is ongoing. Anglian Water has been contacted for further information regarding the duration of the repairs.
