Tiana's Bayou Adventure Opens at Disneyland

Disneyland has officially opened Tiana's Bayou Adventure, replacing the controversial Splash Mountain ride, with vibrant designs and a 52.5-foot drop. Inspired by Disney's 2009 film 'The Princess and the Frog,' the attraction features animatronics and incorporates a virtual queue system via the Disneyland app. The opening celebration includes appearances by film stars Jenifer Lewis and Anika Noni Rose, marking it as Disneyland's first African-American themed ride. This project was initiated in response to criticisms of Splash Mountain's origins and aims to honor New Orleans culture and Tiana's story. Guests can enjoy new themed merchandise and food items at Tiana's Palace, including Catfish Po’boy and Classic Beignets, available for a limited time. The new ride and offerings highlight Disneyland's commitment to diversity and cultural representation.
