St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders clinched their sixth consecutive Class 5A state championship title with a commanding 34-0 victory over Lakeland Dreadnaughts at Pitbull Stadium in Miami, marking their 16th overall state title and extending their playoff winning streak to 30 consecutive games. The Raiders' defense effectively limited Lakeland's renowned rushing attack to just 196 yards. Standout performances included running back Chance Washington, who rushed for 70 yards and scored two touchdowns, and senior quarterback Andrew Indorf, who contributed both a passing and rushing touchdown. This decisive win was a testament to the team's resilience and strong game plan, as highlighted by head coach Roger Harriott. The victory was celebrated as a significant achievement for the program, with Harriott dedicating it to former coach George Smith.
