R Sridhar to Conduct 10-Day Fielding Camp for Sri Lanka Teams
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has enlisted former India fielding coach R Sridhar to lead a 10-day fielding program aimed at raising the fielding standards across its men's and women's national teams, emerging squads, club players, and youth teams. The camp, beginning May 7, will start with the men's national team before extending to other squads, where Sridhar will conduct skill-specific drills and simulated match scenarios to replicate real-game conditions. Sridhar, a BCCI Level 3 certified coach with experience coaching India in over 300 international matches from 2014 to 2021, will also collaborate with Sri Lanka’s High Performance and club coaches. This initiative is seen as a significant move to boost the overall fielding prowess of Sri Lankan cricket, particularly benefiting the women's team, which recently achieved a notable victory over India in a tri-series match.
