Hyperkin Unveils New Xbox Controller The Competitor

At CES 2025, Hyperkin unveiled 'The Competitor,' a new wired Xbox controller designed for competitive gaming, closely resembling the PS5 DualSense both in ergonomics and aesthetics. The controller features Hall Effect sticks and triggers, enhancing durability and addressing stick drift issues prevalent in other controllers. While the design mimics the PlayStation layout, it remains compatible with Xbox One, Series X, Series S, and PC. Additionally, Hyperkin has launched the Hyper Strummer, a new guitar controller for the Wii, which has sparked controversy over its resemblance to older models, with some claiming it's merely a rebranded version of previous products. Hyperkin has defended the Hyper Strummer, asserting that while the external design may be similar, the internal components are new and improved.
