Grassley probes SafeSport's hiring of investigator charged with sex crimes

Sen. Grassley has sent a letter to SafeSport's CEO, Ju’Riese Colon, demanding answers about the center's hiring practices and whether they were aware of Krasley's recent accusations while he worked there. Krasley has been arrested multiple times for serious charges, including rape and sex trafficking, with most incidents occurring prior to his employment at SafeSport. He was terminated in November after the center learned of his initial arrests, but concerns about his hiring arose only after media coverage brought attention to the situation. Grassley emphasized the need for SafeSport to ensure that its investigators are free from accusations of misconduct, highlighting the organization's critical role in protecting young athletes. SafeSport has acknowledged receipt of Grassley's letter and plans to respond to his inquiries.
