China Calls for Global Economic Reform at G20 Summit

China's finance minister, Lan Foan, told the G20 meeting that global economic growth remains insufficient, with tariff and trade wars further undermining economic and financial stability. He called for strengthened multilateral cooperation to improve the international economic and financial system and advocated resolving trade disputes through dialogue and consultation. Lan emphasized the need for effective debt treatment mechanisms and increased resource pooling to support Africa's development. In addition to addressing the broader G20, Lan held bilateral meetings with representatives from various countries and organizations to discuss macroeconomic issues, fiscal channels, and bilateral cooperation.
