Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $714 Million

No ticket matched all six numbers in the Friday, Oct. 24 Mega Millions drawing, pushing the jackpot to an estimated $714 million for the Tuesday, Oct. 28 drawing (a cash option of about $334.1 million), which would rank as the ninth-largest prize in the game's history. The Oct. 24 drawing produced a $2 million Match-5 2x winner in Connecticut and numerous lower-tier winners; more than 10 million lower-tier tickets have paid out over $240.9 million across the current rollup. Tickets cost $5 and now include a built-in multiplier (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x). Mega Millions drawings are streamed on ABC7 at 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and New York sales close at 10 p.m. on draw nights. The last Mega Millions jackpot was won June 27 (a $348 million Virginia ticket).
