Brian Crossman, a member of the Pawlet Selectboard in Vermont, was found shot to death along with his wife Erica and her teenage son Colin Taft in their home on Sunday. All three deaths have been ruled homicides, with Brian and Erica suffering gunshot wounds to the head, and Colin multiple gunshot wounds. A relative in blood-covered clothes reported the incident to the police and led them to the scene; however, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The town of Pawlet, with a population of about 1,400, is deeply shaken by the tragedy. Crossman had recently taken over his family farm and was newly married in June. The Selectboard honored Crossman with flowers at his seat during their regular meeting, expressing their grief and condolences.
