Kenya Moore Faces $30K Lawsuit, Files $89K Countersuit Over Georgia Hair Spa

Kenya Moore, CEO of Moore Vision Media and a Real Housewives of Atlanta star, is embroiled in a legal dispute with her landlord, Northland Chamblee, LLC, over her hair salon located in Chamblee, Georgia. The landlord filed a lawsuit in April 2025 seeking nearly $30,000 for unpaid rent and operating expenses, along with future rent estimated at roughly $150 per day, and initiated eviction proceedings. Moore countersued in June 2025, demanding over $89,000 in damages for breach of contract and legal fees, asserting the landlord failed to reimburse her tenant improvement allowance of approximately $79,000, which she used to build out the salon including a second floor. Due to the amount involved, the case was moved from Magistrate Court to Superior Court. Moore publicly addressed the dispute, explaining her claim that she has not been refunded for substantial property improvements, which she argues justifies her withholding rent. Meanwhile, the salon has appeared empty recently, fueling speculation about its future and the ongoing legal battle.
