Ramy Youssef, Co-Creators Exit Will Ferrell Netflix Golf Comedy

Ramy Youssef, Josh Rabinowitz, and Andy Campagna have departed from Will Ferrell's upcoming Netflix golf-themed comedy series due to creative differences, with the leadership change occurring last year. Originally co-creators and co-showrunners alongside Ferrell, Youssef and his Cairo Cowboy banner remain active at Netflix with a separate series in development. Molly Shannon has joined the cast as Stacy, reuniting with Ferrell, her former "Saturday Night Live" co-star, marking Ferrell’s first continuing role in a comedy series. The project is executive produced by Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alix Taylor via Gloria Sanchez Productions, alongside Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue of T-Street, and others who joined after the departure of Youssef and his collaborators. Shannon brings extensive comedy experience from shows such as "Only Murders in the Building," "The Other Two," and the "Will & Grace" revival, and will appear next in Netflix's adaptation of Emily Henry’s "People We Meet on Vacation." Despite the creative shakeup, the series continues its development with a robust production team and renewed casting.
