Eighth Annual Nashville Songwriter Awards Set for September 23 in Nashville

The 8th annual Nashville Songwriter Awards will be held on September 23, 2025, at the historic Ryman Auditorium, presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in partnership with City National Bank. The event will honor legendary country band Alabama with the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award and Brenda Lee with the NSAI President’s Keystone Award. Performers include Jason Aldean, Trisha Yearwood, Old Dominion, Lukas Nelson, Grammy-nominated Jessie Jo Dillon, and many others, with additional performers to be announced. Awards to be presented include Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Songwriter-Artist of the Year, the 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written, and the recently introduced Legendary Song Award, which honors a timeless track from 1968 to 1984. The Songwriter and Songwriter-Artist of the Year awards are based on chart performance, while the other categories are peer-voted by NSAI’s professional songwriter membership.
