Despite their financial might, Steinbrenner noted that the Dodgers' success isn't guaranteed, as they must maintain an injury-free season. The Yankees, with a payroll of just under $303 million, have also been active, securing Max Fried and Paul Goldschmidt, but they lost Juan Soto to the Mets.
