Vancouver Whitecaps Name Jesper Sørensen Head Coach

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC have appointed Jesper Sørensen as their new head coach, signing him to a two-year contract through 2026. Sørensen, who previously led Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga, has a notable coaching record of 37 wins, 19 losses, and 17 draws, achieving an average of 1.75 points per game over two seasons. Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster praised Sørensen for his competitiveness, adaptability, and ability to improve players and implement effective tactics. Sørensen, who has also coached Denmark's U-21 team, replaces Vanni Sartini, who was dismissed after three years at the helm.
