GreenGrahi, Paramount Services Secure ₹32 Crore Funding for Expansion

GreenGrahi, an Indian agri-biotech startup specializing in insect-based alternatives to traditional animal feed and chemical agricultural inputs, has raised approximately $3.8 million in seed funding led by Avaana Capital. This marks the largest funding round to date in India's insect biotech sector, with participation from several notable venture funds and angel investors. The company plans to use the funds to build the country's first and largest Black Soldier Fly (BSF) bio-factory, capable of processing 150 tons of feedstock per day, and to expand its scientific team and international presence. GreenGrahi’s products—ranging from insect proteins and oils for aquaculture and poultry feed to biological agri-inputs like biofertilizers—aim to offer improved nutrition, price stability, and reduced reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The company's proprietary technology enables cost-efficient, scalable production, supporting more resilient and sustainable food systems.
