Holcim Plans Spin-off of North American Business as Amrize

Holcim has announced that its North American operations will be rebranded as Amrize following a planned spinoff expected by mid-2025. The name 'Amrize' combines the concepts of 'ambition' and 'rising,' reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and leadership in the construction sector. Jan Jenisch, the current chairman of Holcim and the designated CEO of Amrize, emphasized the exciting opportunities in North America, including infrastructure modernization and addressing housing gaps. Amrize will operate as an independent public company and is set to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the SIX Swiss Exchange. The company aims to be a key partner for North American customers in delivering advanced building solutions. The completion of the spinoff is pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.
