The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Guwahati has successfully dismantled an inter-state drug trafficking network, apprehending Surjit Singh from Uttar Pradesh and seizing 934.510 kg of ganja on August 2, 2024. The operation, conducted near a roadside eatery in Kamrup district, followed extensive surveillance and credible intelligence. The ganja was concealed in a specially designed compartment of the truck and was sourced from Senapati, Manipur, destined for Kolkata, West Bengal. This latest bust follows a previous operation on July 23, where NCB seized 6.790 kg of drugs and arrested two individuals involved in methamphetamine trafficking. The NCB's actions are part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
