Delhivery Launches On-Demand Intracity Delivery in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru

Delhivery, India’s largest integrated logistics company, has officially launched its on-demand intracity delivery service, Delhivery Direct, in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru after a successful pilot in Ahmedabad. The app allows customers to book local deliveries with pickups as fast as 15 minutes, using two-wheelers for small parcels and three- or four-wheelers for larger consignments, and supports intercity shipments to more than 18,800 pincodes across India. CEO Sahil Barua emphasized that the service completes Delhivery's logistics offerings, providing consumers, SMEs, and delivery partners with a fast, affordable, and reliable solution along with new earning opportunities. This move positions Delhivery as a direct competitor to firms like Uber, Porter, Rapido, Borzo, and Mover in the fast-growing hyperlocal parcel delivery market. The launch reflects Delhivery’s strategic diversification from long-haul freight towards intracity logistics amid growing competition from e-commerce giants’ in-house logistics services. The Delhivery Direct app is available on both Google Play and Apple App Store, aiming for rapid expansion to additional metro cities.
