Folsom Man Arrested for Threats Weapons Near High School

Curt Michael Taras, a 53-year-old man from Folsom, was arrested for making threats and carrying weapons on the Folsom High School campus. Police responded to reports of Taras making threatening statements and refusing to leave school grounds, which prompted a brief lockdown of the campus. Officers found Taras armed with a concealed firearm, a high-capacity magazine, and a knife, both on his person and in his vehicle near the school. He faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges including criminal threats, possession of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, and violation of a court order.
