Three Boys Injured in Separate UK Hit-and-Run Incidents

Several hit-and-run incidents involving young cyclists have recently occurred in the U.S. and the U.K. In O'Brien County, Iowa, a 15-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, resulting in injury to himself and damage to a utility pole, with the driver cited for failure to maintain control. In Swindon, a 13-year-old boy was struck by a blue/black Vauxhall Astra, whose driver fled the scene; police have appealed for witnesses and CCTV footage. Similarly, in St Leonards-On-Sea, a 12-year-old boy was hit by a black Mercedes while cycling; the driver left the scene but the vehicle has since been seized as police continue to investigate. The injured boy in St Leonards-On-Sea was hospitalized and has since been discharged and is recovering at home. Authorities in all locations are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in their investigations.
