Jorge Martin sidelined by multiple fractures in Sepang crash

Reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Martin suffered multiple fractures to his right hand and left foot during a crash in preseason testing at Sepang, Malaysia, raising concerns about his ability to defend his title this season. The incident occurred during a highside at Turn 2, leading to Martin being transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following a CT scan and MRI, it was confirmed that he will require surgery on both injuries, and he is expected to return to Europe for the procedure. Martin's crash comes just days before the first Grand Prix of the season on February 28 in Thailand, leaving his participation in doubt. The severity of his injuries is compounded by the fact that he has limited experience with the Aprilia RS-GP, which he was testing for the first time.
