Communities Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Events

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, is being marked by various events across the U.S., highlighting the contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. In Buffalo, the local Hispanic community commemorated 14 years of events at the Buffalo & Erie County Central Library, while in DeKalb, the Latino Resource Center kicked off the month with a parade and performances celebrating Latin American culture. Milwaukee hosted its 50th Annual Mexican Independence Day parade, drawing thousands who expressed pride in their heritage. Additionally, Port Arthur celebrated its 56th annual Mexican Heritage Fiesta, featuring traditional activities, music, and food. These events aim to educate and engage both the Hispanic community and the wider public about cultural diversity and history.
