Unrivaled League's Inaugural Season Details Unveiled

Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 women's basketball league co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, will launch its inaugural season in Miami on January 17. The league features six teams with rosters of six players each, including two wildcard spots yet to be filled. The teams were formed by a unique draft process where coaches selected players without knowing which team they would be coaching. Notable players include Skylar Diggins-Smith, Brittney Griner, and Chelsea Gray. The season will run for eight weeks, featuring 45 games broadcasted on TNT and truTV, and includes a special one-on-one tournament with a $250,000 prize. The league aims to provide WNBA players with a U.S.-based alternative to earn income during the offseason while promoting a new style of 3x3 basketball with innovative rules.
