Four Hospitalized After Chlorine Exposure in Derbyshire

Four individuals were hospitalized following exposure to excess chlorine at Clifford Health Club and Spa in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, on Tuesday morning. Emergency services responded to reports of 27 people being exposed, with 10 exhibiting symptoms such as nausea. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that none of the symptoms were serious, and the incident was attributed to a mixture of chemicals in the pool systems. The Health and Safety Executive has been notified, and emergency services confirmed that there is no ongoing risk from chemicals in the area. The spa has since reopened after being cleared by authorities. Various reports initially conflicted on the number of hospitalized individuals, with some stating three and others four.
