Tennis Channel Expands Davis Cup, BJK Cup Global Media Rights Through 2028
Tennis Channel has extended its exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for the Billie Jean King Cup through 2027 and the Davis Cup through 2028, continuing a partnership with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) that began in 2009. The new multi-year agreement also expands Tennis Channel's international reach, securing rights to air both tournaments in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and for the first time, Spain, a key growth market for women's tennis. The Billie Jean King Cup Finals are scheduled for September 16-21 in Shenzhen, China, while the Davis Cup Final 8 will be held November 18-23 in Bologna, Italy. ITF President David Haggerty praised Tennis Channel's role in bringing these premier tennis events to global audiences, and Tennis Channel CEO Jeff Blackburn highlighted the events as important pillars of the network's programming. Additionally, Tennis Channel has renewed its WTA Tour U.S. rights through 2032 and ATP rights into the 2030s, solidifying its position as a leading tennis broadcaster. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal reportedly represents an increase in value compared to previous agreements.
