Michael Jordan will join NBC Sports as a special contributor for their NBA coverage starting in the 2025-26 season, marking his first role as a basketball commentator. This move coincides with the NBA's return to NBC after more than two decades under a new 11-year, $76 billion broadcast deal involving NBC, Disney, and Amazon. Jordan's involvement is expected to significantly boost viewership and advertising revenue due to his legendary status and cultural impact, with reports indicating he has signed a historic contract worth $40 million annually, making him the highest-paid sports analyst in history. NBC's coverage lineup will also include other basketball figures such as Carmelo Anthony, Mike Tirico as lead play-by-play announcer, Noah Eagle, Jamal Crawford, and Reggie Miller.
