Cameron Woodall Dies in Mississippi ATV Crash
Cameron Woodall, a 26-year-old former basketball player for Raymond High School, Tougaloo College, and Grambling State, died in an ATV accident on June 7 in Raymond, Mississippi. The crash happened late at night when a tire blew out on Woodall's ATV, causing him to lose control and collide with another four-wheeler; he died at the scene while the other rider sustained minor injuries. Woodall was known for leading Raymond High to back-to-back state championships and playing college and professional basketball, including in Peru. Tributes from family, coaches, and teammates highlighted his leadership and positive impact, with memorial services planned at Tougaloo College. The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. Local basketball events have been postponed in Woodall's honor.
