Over 1,000 Honor Slain Utah Officer Eric Estrada at Funeral

Thousands gathered in Logan, Utah, to honor Tremonton Police Officer Eric Estrada, who was fatally shot along with Sergeant Lee Sorensen while responding to a domestic violence call. Estrada, known for his infectious personality and dedication to family, was deeply loved by his wife Brittney and their two children, Luka and Cienna. His funeral, held at Utah State University's Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, featured heartfelt tributes from his brother Jesus and daughter Cienna, highlighting his roles as a devoted husband, father, and community officer. Governor Spencer Cox also spoke at the service, which drew police officers and community members from across the state and country. Estrada enjoyed activities like pickleball, CrossFit, and bike riding, and was affectionately nicknamed 'Chipz' after the actor Erik Estrada, who paid tribute to him. Following the public funeral, Estrada was laid to rest at Logan City Cemetery in a private ceremony attended by close family and law enforcement.
