Two Children, Man Airlifted After Serious A9 Crash Carrbridge
A serious collision occurred on the A9 near Carrbridge involving a car and an HGV around 2:20 pm on July 16, 2025, resulting in three individuals being injured. The car's driver, a 47-year-old man, and two children, aged eight and four, were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with the children airlifted by helicopter while the adult was taken by road ambulance; all remain in stable condition. The HGV overturned but its driver was uninjured. Emergency services including multiple ambulances, a critical care paramedic, air ambulance, coastguard, and trauma teams responded to the scene. The road was closed for nearly nine hours for investigation before reopening late at night. Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to assist with ongoing inquiries into the crash.
