Dan Rivera, Annabelle Handler, Dies at 54

Dan Rivera, a 54-year-old U.S. Army veteran and lead paranormal investigator for the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), died unexpectedly in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, during the sold-out 'Devils on the Run' tour. Rivera was found unresponsive in his hotel room on July 13, and the cause of death has not yet been determined. Mentored by legendary investigator Lorraine Warren, Rivera was well known for maintaining the Warrens’ legacy, appearing on television, and producing paranormal content. As lead handler of the infamous Annabelle doll, Rivera frequently reassured audiences by providing spiritual protections at public events, amid fascination and controversy over the artifact. His sudden passing has deeply affected the paranormal community, with tributes emphasizing his passion, kindness, and commitment to public education about the supernatural. NESPR and Rivera’s family are expected to release further statements as the investigation continues.
