Warwick Davis to Receive BAFTA Fellowship

Warwick Davis, renowned for his roles in the 'Star Wars' and 'Harry Potter' franchises, will be awarded the BAFTA Fellowship, recognizing his exceptional contributions to film and television as well as his advocacy for inclusivity in the industry. Diagnosed with a rare form of dwarfism, Davis has championed the rights and representation of people with dwarfism, establishing Willow Management to represent actors of unique statures and co-founding Little People UK. His career began at age 11, playing Wicket the Ewok in 'Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi,' and he has continued to make significant contributions across various media. The BAFTA Fellowship will be presented at the EE BAFTA Film Awards on February 16, and Davis has expressed gratitude, dedicating the honor to all individuals living with differences. He emphasized the importance of inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration in the arts industry, acknowledging the support of colleagues and audiences pivotal in his journey.
