Two Fairfield Teens Arrested for Target Theft, Loaded Gun Possession

Fairfield police arrested two teenagers following a traffic stop on East Tabor Avenue near Olive Avenue after discovering the 19-year-old driver was wanted for an alleged grand theft at a local Target store two days prior. During the stop, officers found a loaded handgun under the seat of a 16-year-old passenger, who was also arrested on suspicion of firearm possession. Both teens were identified as accomplices in the Target theft and face criminal charges related to the incident. The arrests occurred around 2 a.m. and involved a total of five people who were removed from the vehicle during the investigation. The police officers involved, Tom and Gomez-Bray, conducted the routine traffic enforcement that led to uncovering the firearm and the theft connection.
