Google Expands Circle to Search Feature to iPhone

Google has expanded its 'Circle to Search' functionality to iPhones, now available through the Google and Chrome apps under the name 'Search Screen with Google Lens'. This feature, initially exclusive to Android, allows users to perform visual searches by drawing, highlighting, or tapping on-screen elements without needing to take screenshots. Unlike Android, where the feature is built into the OS, iPhone users need to access it via the app's three-dot menu. The feature aims to facilitate quick searches of on-screen content, using Google Lens to provide information and visual matches. Additionally, Google is introducing AI Overviews in Lens search results, offering AI-generated summaries and links. These updates are rolling out globally for iOS users this week.
