Twelve charged in South Philadelphia gang-related crime spree, including homicide

Philadelphia authorities announced the arrest of 12 individuals connected to a violent crime spree involving multiple gangs, including the Senders, Clappers, and Close Range Gang. The suspects face charges related to a series of shootings, including the ambush killing of a 16-year-old and injuries to over 25 others between April 2021 and May 2023. Notably, Taahir Rowe is charged with murder for the death of Mehki Ingram, while Eli Simmons faces numerous counts of attempted murder linked to 10 shootings.
