Seiko has launched several new watches for 2025, including a limited edition Speedtimer commemorating the Tokyo World Athletics Championships, featuring a purple Edo-Murasaki dial and solar-powered movement with a six-month power reserve. Alongside this, Seiko released a special edition Prospex dive watch celebrating the 50th anniversary of the movie Jaws, with a sea-inspired dial and an engraved caseback. Grand Seiko introduced the Tokyo Lion Tentagraph, a luxury sports watch with its first mechanical chronograph movement, made with Brilliant Hard Titanium for enhanced durability and water resistance up to 200 meters; the design is inspired by a lion’s paw and incorporates functional improvements like 3D subdials and Lumibrite for visibility. Other notable summer watches include models from Zenith, Moser, Breitling, and Omega, offering varied features such as tourbillons, chronometer-rated automatics, and styles suited for water sports. These launches highlight a blend of traditional craftsmanship, modern technology, and bold aesthetics in the 2025 watch market.
