Reliance Commits ₹50,000 Crore to Assam

Reliance Industries Limited, led by Mukesh Ambani, announced a significant investment of over ₹50,000 crore in Assam over the next five years, focusing on technology, digital infrastructure, and other key sectors. This commitment, made at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, marks a substantial increase from their previous investment of ₹12,000 crore. Ambani highlighted the potential for Assam to become a 'technological paradise' and praised the state’s tech-savvy youth for driving innovation. The summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to attract both domestic and international investments, with MoUs worth ₹1.22 lakh crore approved for various projects across sectors like hospitality, healthcare, and textiles. Prominent industrialists, including Gautam Adani, also pledged significant investments, reflecting strong business interest in Assam's growth potential.
