A sightseeing helicopter crash in the Hudson River claimed the lives of six people, including a Spanish family celebrating a child's birthday, on April 10. Eyewitness accounts revealed that the helicopter disintegrated midair shortly before the crash, with the pilot reportedly radioing in that he was low on fuel and attempting to return to the helipad.
