Michigan Wolverines, after their 27-20 victory over Alabama in the Rose Bowl, will compete against the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff (CFP) championship game on 8 January, 2023. Washington secured their spot after defeating Texas in the Sugar Bowl. Both teams will be playing their first championship game. The Wolverines, who enjoyed an undefeated season and previously beat the Huskies, are favorites to win. The game is a rematch of the 2022 Fiesta Bowl.
