Air travel was disrupted worldwide today, with major hubs across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Africa and Asia reporting widespread cancellations and delays. In the U.S., carriers including Frontier, American, JetBlue, Delta and Alaska canceled about 172 flights and logged roughly 4,100 delays, affecting hubs such as Chicago O'Hare and New York‑area airports. Europe recorded roughly 20–22 cancellations and about 957–1,031 delays at major airports including Paris CDG, London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol, Frankfurt and Rome. In the Middle East and North Africa, Saudia, Emirates, EgyptAir, Royal Jordanian and FlyDubai reported about 12–14 cancellations and more than 200 delays at hubs including Jeddah, Dammam, Dubai and Cairo, while carriers across Africa, including Air Tanzania, also reported disruptions. Asia saw multiple carrier disruptions — China Eastern reported about 20 cancellations and 231 delays, Lucky Air about 13 cancellations and 17 delays, and regional carriers such as Sichuan, Batik and Vietjet logged additional cancellations and hundreds of delays; passengers are advised to check with airlines and FAA real‑time status pages for rebooking and updates.
