Suspect Arrested in Mission Viejo Apartment Shooting

A 39-year-old man, Miguel Joaquin Mata, was found shot multiple times and later died at a hospital following a Friday night incident at a Mission Viejo apartment on La Glorietta. Authorities quickly established a perimeter and arrested 55-year-old Sean Jeffery Williams, a resident of a nearby apartment, on suspicion of homicide based on evidence and interviews at the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and no further connection between the suspect and the victim has been disclosed. This marks the second deadly event at a Mission Viejo apartment complex in recent weeks.
