Braun Overhauls Indiana Economic Board Amid Scandal

Indiana Governor Mike Braun has replaced the entire Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) Board of Directors following allegations of malfeasance, self-dealing, and conflicts of interest within the organization. This overhaul comes after Braun called for an independent forensic audit of the IEDC to improve transparency and accountability. The nine new appointees represent a wide range of industries and communities, including business leaders, a union representative, a former House Speaker, and an agriculture official. Notable new members are Gus Olympidis, John Gregg, Greg Gibson, Richard Waterfield, Chris King, Don Lamb, George Thomas, Billie Dragoo, and David Fagan. Braun stated that the appointments support his 'Freedom and Opportunity' agenda aimed at growing wages and expanding job opportunities for Hoosiers.
