Taylor Swift Film Presales Soar; SiriusXM Launches Channel

Taylor Swift will release her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3, 2025, and is staging an 89‑minute theatrical event, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, in cinemas worldwide Oct. 3–5 that will premiere the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” and include behind‑the‑scenes footage, lyric videos and Swift’s commentary. The film pulled in roughly $15 million in presales within 24 hours and is projected to open between $30 million and $50 million over the three‑day run. Major chains, including AMC, Cinemark, Regal, Alamo and Regency, and independent exhibitors are carrying screenings across the U.S. and Europe, while retailers and venues are hosting listening and release parties, particularly in Southern California. As part of the promotional push, SiriusXM launched a temporary 24/7 “Taylor’s Channel 13” on Sept. 20 that will run through Oct. 19 and play her catalog and the new album repeatedly.
