NZ Motorsport Figure Tim Miles Killed Cyclist Sydney Zoo
Tim Miles, a New Zealand-born businessman and influential figure in Australian motorsport, tragically died after being struck by a bus while cycling near Taronga Zoo in Sydney. A father of two and co-founder of Tasman Motorsport, Miles was well-known for his extensive involvement in motorsport as a competitor, owner, and supporter over more than 35 years. He pursued racing early in his career before establishing a successful corporate advisory firm that allowed him to further his passion for motorsport and family. The accident occurred during one of his regular cycling rides, and although emergency crews responded swiftly, Miles was pronounced dead at the scene. His family described him as a "bright, shining light," highlighting his dedication to his family and the motorsport community. Supercars Australia and other organizations paid tribute to Miles, acknowledging his pivotal role in the sport and his lasting impact.
